I'm heading into the hills with some friends this weekend. I've logged a buncha hours online mapping some maybe routes and gpx'ing and downloading 'em and I'm here to tell ya that the whole gps thing ain't all that user-friendly just yet. If you're into burning massive amounts of time, this could be just the hobby for you. But it's also so useful (and cool) that you can't not do it.
Sorry, I digress. Big picture-wise, the gps time-dump thing is chump change. Of far bigger concern are my spindly legs and contracted lungs. To which I say, "bite me".
For three days, I will cast off the shackles that bind me and perform climbing feats beyond the realm of possibility! No cubicle on this planet can subdue my irrepressible spirit!!!
Okay. I fully understand that I will die, in a particularly un-pretty fashion, on the ride and in the days that follow. But for those few moments of bliss, ahh . . . I can NOT wait.
