Pretty cool, Pat. I was wondering what all the sewing was about.
How quickly do you get used to using these? It seems at first like they might restrict you a bit as you take your hand off the handlebars. Do your gloves get caught at all?
The exterior is cordura-type nylon and the interior is smooth nylon, with some insulation in between. And they are very roomy inside, so it doesn't feel like there is any chance of getting your gloves caught.
But I was riding around last night and it was slick and I was thinking that if I started going down, me reaction would be to take my hand off the bar directly sideways, and I wouldn't be able to do that. It's maybe a little akin to riding with clipless pedals - you just have to be conscious that there's only one way to get out.
Jacque, afraid not. I bought my festivus lights a week ago and was concocting a killer decorative scheme, but life has gotten in the way. I'm fairly seriously bummed.
I trust that I can count on you to have one or (preferably) more beers on my behalf with the million $ you saved on the purchase of my sewing project.
Let's see if I got this right. Pat went to all that trouble to make pogies and sold them to Jacque. Pat can't make the Festivus Fiasco but Jacque can so I can buy Jacque a beer for Pat.
Sounds like a win/win for Jacque. ;-)
Now you're gonna tell me it's purely coincidence that the word I have to type in to make this post is "dummo". Seriously, it's "dummo". Too funny.
Consider yourself lucky. I got 'feasis'. Hopefully that is not an indication of how well the fiasco is going to go. I'll be in pure panic mode for most of the night. Good job on the Pogies
The behavior of my blog is causing great embarassment to me and my family. Friends don't make friends type those kinda words. I may have to sell my google stock. Oh wait, I don't own any.
But I have no doubt the festivus will be a sweet success. Have fun and as always, ride safe, don't let too much beer make you dummo and try not to ride through any feasis.

Good video too!
You gonna be at the ride on Friday?

Tell you what, I'll buy Hank a beer for you and he can buy one me for you. So you'll get TWO beers for the cheap price of one million dollars.
